Enterprise Knowledge Based Software Requirements Elicitation
نویسندگان
چکیده
One of the ways to capture enterprise knowledge is Enterprise Architecture (EA). EA allows indentifying the majority of software “to-be” requirements for information systems (IS) engineering. However, the transition between enterprise architecture model and IT resource design still lacks a clear approach and tools for implementing it in practice. The paper presents an approach for the enterprise knowledge based software requirements elicitation. The suggested approach is based on the Unified profile for Ministry of Defence Architecture Framework (MODAF) and Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), System Modeling Language (SysML) requirements model, and a Semantics of Business Vocabulary and Business Rules (SBVR) standard as a formal background for elicited software requirements. A real world example is presented to validate the suitability of the approach.

Requirement Elicitation Based on Value Chain Analysis
Requirement elicitation is an analysis, abstraction, synthesis, extracted process which obtains real and correct software requirements from users' demands, thoughts and expectations. The accuracy and integrity of software requirements is crucial to the success of the software. Although many software engineering techniques have been applied, incomplete, inaccurate or inconsistent requirements st...
متن کاملPerception and Enterprise Communication Networks to Improve the Requirements Elicitation Process
The requirements elicitation phase of software development projects is characterised by the intensity and importance of communication activities. Requirements elicitation is a traditional exploratory phase in which context is analysed and an abstraction is performed as a consequence. However, exploratory processes are characterised by a deep interaction with environmental factors. In this paper...
متن کاملEnterprise Modelling: A Declarative Approach for FBPML
Enterprise Modelling (EM) methods are well-recognised for their value in describing complex, informal domains in an organised structure. EM methods are used in practice, particularly during the early stages of software system development, e.g. during the phase of business requirements elicitation. The built model, however, has not always provided direct input to software system development. Des...
متن کاملRequirements Elicitation in the Context of Enterprise Engineering: A Vision Driven Approach
In the context of enterprise engineering, strategic planning, information systems engineering, and software engineering activities should be tightly integrated. Traditional, interviewbased requirements gathering and elicitation techniques are suited for this aim not enough well and often lead to the violation of the strategic alignment. The vision-driven requirements engineering has been propos...
متن کاملStructured Language Requirement Elicitation Using Case Base Reasoning
Requirement elicitation is very difficult process in highly challenging and business based software as well as in real time software. Common problems associated with these types of software are rapidly changing the requirements and understanding the language of the layman person. In this study, a framework for requirement elicitation by using knowledge based system is proposed, which is very he...
